FAQs

1.

We have made numerous investments in our monitoring tools and ITSM platform? How does ZIF complement and co-exist with these investments?

Many of the traditional monitoring tools are reactive in nature and provide rule-based alerts. By deploying the Analyze & Predict functions of ZIFTM on the existing monitoring tools, you have an opportunity to turn your reactive alerts into predictive insights and importantly, reduce the noise. This would help in leveraging your current investments while integrating AIOps into your environment with minimal efforts.

2.

Over a period, can ZIFTM replace all the existing monitoring tools and provide a better leverage on costs?

ZIFTM has the ability to provide full stack visibility. The ‘Monitor’ function can track performance of applications, servers, networks and database service towers and provide an aggregate view across the layers. Some of our customers have replaced their monitoring solutions upon deployment of ZIFTM suite.

3.

How does ZIFTM integrate with the existing tools?

Most of the tools in the market provide API interface to extract information contained in them. ZIFTM uses an API-based data collection approach to aggregate information from ITSM, Monitoring, CMDB and KM tools / platforms. This data is ingested into the correlation and prediction components for further analysis.

4.

How easy is it to build new connectors?

The underlying data collector layer is agnostic of the data source and new connectors can be built in 2-5 days.

5.

What is the list of existing connectors that ZIFTM presently supports?

6.

How long does it take to deploy ZIFTM and configure them in the enterprise?

ZIFTM and all its components may be deployed in 2 weeks and initial results made available in 4 weeks. During this period, integration with existing tools, configuration of the platform and training of the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning models the enterprise context are carried out.

7.

What is the difference between ZIFTM and other competitive tools/platforms?

There is no single platform that provides the breadth of coverage that ZIFTM provides – ability to discover, monitor, predict and automate the operations in an enterprise. Further, the traditional monitoring and event correlation tools are rule-based, dependent on underlying CMDB and contextual information of the enterprise. ZIFTM uses pattern-based event correlation with no dependency on CMDB making it a self-intelligent platform.

1.

Is the ZIFTM platform implemented as on-premise or cloud-based solution?

By default, ZIFTM is a cloud-based implementation and connects to the on-premise data center components through VPN. However, for industries that have regulatory needs that prevents data to be sent outside its network, ZIFTM may be deployed on-premise.

2.

Can our technicians access the platform on their mobile devices?

Yes, the interface is responsive and intuitive and device agnostic.

3.

What is the nature of the post-implementation support provided?

24×7 post-implementation support is provided via email, phone and chat.

1.

How long does it take to get the results once the ZIFTM platform is installed?

ZIFTM is easy to configure and dashboards with enterprise data are made available in 2-4 weeks. The correlations and noise reduction become functional in 4-6 weeks while the accuracy of predictions begin to improve in 8-10 weeks

2.

What is the accuracy of the results and how does it improve over time?

As ZIFTM uses pattern-based noise nullification and event correlation, the accuracy is fairly high – 90-95% noise nullification, 70-80 % accuracy in event correlation and 75+% accuracy in predictive insights. As the platform is self-intelligent and learns on its own, the accuracy of the predictions improves with use.

3.

Does monitor support both on-premise, cloud and hybrid workloads?

ZIFTM has the ability to support on-premise, hybrid and cloud workloads.

4.

Is automation limited to IT Processes?

ZIFTM provides about 125 workflows out of the box. Further, new workflows and customized processes may be automated using the workflow engine. This enables many of the standard L1 / L2 IT standard operating procedures to be remediated with no manual intervention.

5.

What is the typical reduction in incidents and how successful are you in driving enterprises towards a Zero Incident Enterprise ™ ?

The industry average for the incidents is about 1.3-1.5 incidents per user per month. With ZIFTM, these incidents may be eradicated and remediated with no manual intervention. Many of the implementations have seen reduction to 0.35-0.4 incidents per user per month, post deployment of ZIFTM.

Further ZIFTM improves the overall availability of the business services and user experience.
