Zero Incident Framework^TM (ZIF^TM) is committed to protecting our users’ privacy. We feel it is important that you fully understand the terms and conditions under which we use the information we gather from you through the use of our Websites/application https://zif.ai, our hosted services and our mobile applications collectively our “Offerings”. Please read this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) carefully to understand how we will use and protect your personal information. The Policy also describes the choices available to you regarding how you can access and update this information. Changes to this Policy will be announced on the home page of our Sites and Mobile Apps so please check back periodically.

Overview

We collect personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site. This information is used solely for internal marketing purposes and for the production of whichever event you have registered for. The only occasion when personally identifiable information is shared with third parties is when particular event attendee lists are made available to other attendees and sponsors of the same event.

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email and office address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). We use this information for invoicing purposes and to fulfill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

Special Offers and Updates forms

We will occasionally send you information on ZIF^TM and/or other related events or products.

Newsletters

If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe.

Push Notifications

When you sign up to use our Mobile Apps, we will ask you if you wish to receive push notifications which we use to keep you updated on the activity that occurs within the Mobile App. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe.

Service-Related Announcements

We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.

Generally, you may not opt-out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account.

Customer Service

Based upon the Personal Information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email or telephone, in accordance with your wishes.

Aggregate Information

Non-personally identifiable

We share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users. We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.

Personally identifiable information

We only share personally identifiable information with Third Parties when particular event attendee lists are made available to other attendees and sponsors of the same event.

Log Files

As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

ZIF^TM will share your personal information with third parties only in ways that are described in this privacy policy. We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties. Your personal information is never shared outside ZIF^TM without your permission, except under conditions explained below. Inside ZIF^TM, data is stored in controlled servers with limited access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where ZIF^TM, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or agents are located.

ZIF^TM may send your Personal Information to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances: when we have your consent to share the information; we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of ZIF^TM to provide a product or service to you such as a marketing partner, mapping service provider or Web analytics company (we will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose); or we want to keep you up to date on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers or other information we think you’d like to hear about either from us or from our business partners. Unsubscribe

We provide you the opportunity to ‘Unsubscribe’ of having your Personal Information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.

Newsletters

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may unsubscribe to receive them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at inquiry@gavstech.com.

Push Notifications

If you wish to no longer receive the push notifications you have opted into, you may turn them off at the device level.

Advertising

We partner with third parties to either display advertising on our Sites or to manage our advertising on other sites. These parties may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on our Sites and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may unsubscribe. Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. You will continue to receive generic ads.

Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Non-Personal Information: Non-Personal Information refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon the pages that you access in our offerings using various tracking technologies. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a non-aggregated and an aggregated basis.

To update, correct, or delete your Personal Information

If your Personal Information changes, or if you no longer desire our service, you may correct, update, amend, or delete/remove it by emailing us at inquiry@gavstech.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

Mobile Analytics

We use mobile analytics software to allow us to better understand the functionality of our Mobile Software on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the application, the events that occur within the application, aggregated usage, performance data, and where the application was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personal information you submit within the mobile application.

Links to Other Sites

This Web site contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by ZIF^TM. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Security

We employ industry-recognized information technology to protect the security of the information you submit to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. The importance of security for all Personal Information associated with our users is of utmost concern to us. Our secure servers protect this information using password protection and advanced encryption, and we may use firewall technology for additional protection. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number, login information for our Services, or Geo-Location information) on our Offerings, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).

Furthermore, all of the user data we collect is protected against unauthorized access by physical security means.

We also encourage our partners and service providers to adopt and follow stringent consumer privacy policies. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Children, Parental Consent, and Privacy

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act effective April 21, 2000, imposes certain requirements on Web sites directed toward children under the age of 13 that collect information on those children, or on Web sites that know they are collecting Personal Information on children under the age of 13. Our Offerings are not directed toward children under age 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under age 13. If we find out that we have collected information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information immediately.
